The overall “buzz” at NRF was upbeat in terms of the economy, highlighted at the January 10 Super Session, “Retail’s Road to Recovery:
Status Report on the Global Economy.” Moody’s chief economist and
co-founder Mark Zandi expressed economic optimism through 2013,
predicting they will be “very good years.” He cited an improving job

Ira Kalish, Global Director of Deloitte Research, seemed to cautiously
echo some of Zandi’s predictions during the January 10 Super Session,
